Khur and Biabanak County (Persian: شهرستان خور و بیابانک)[a] is in Isfahan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Khur.[3]

History[edit]

In August 2009, Khur and Biabanak District was separated from Nain County in the establishment of Khur and Biabanak County, with Khur as its capital.[3]

Demographics[edit]

Population[edit]

The National Census in 2011 counted 17,793 people in 5,412 households.[4] At the 2016 census, the county's population was 19,761 in 6,420 households.[2] Khur and Biabanak County has the smallest population of Iran's mainland counties. (Abumusa County, consisting of islands in the Persian Gulf, has a smaller population).[2]
