Wool is a natural fibre. All the items which feed into this category are related to the Wool Industry or Woolgrowing industry and should be so categorised and as a group by itself should be linked here

EXCEPT:[edit]

Owling (legal term) because it is wool trade
Karakul sheep and Merino because they are sheep breeds

And EXCEPT[edit]

because they are not creating wool or dealing in "raw" wool
they describe some of the uses for wool or promote the use consumption of wool

Hmmm. The listing above is to explain to you why the topics listed above, currently in Sheep Wool, do not fit directly into Sheep Wool.
  • By the way you should be aware that category content changes continuously, e.g. because new articles are being written. So the above lists will soon be outdated and the main thing is that it should be intuitively clear to editors what does and doesn't belong in the category, by choosing a smart category name.
Goes without saying. It also presumes those editors know a little of that which they so categorise
  • I don't think "Sheep wool" is clear enough as a category name and "Sheep shearing" may be a better choice.
This last comment is so extraordinary it seems to be beyond my understanding, please explain more so I might have another try to grasp it.
