Bangur Nagar (formerly known as Pahadi Goregaon) is an elevated metro station on the North-South corridor of the Yellow Line 2A of Mumbai Metro in Mumbai, India. This station is located in Goregaon, Mumbai. This station is owned by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) and was inaugurated on 19 January 2023.[1][2][3]

History[edit]

J Kumar Infraprojects was awarded the contract to construct the station in June 2016.[4] The MMRDA announced that electrification of the line had been completed on 26 May 2020.[5][6]

Later it was opened to the public on 19 January 2023, along with the second phase of Line 2A.[7][8] The station was originally named Pahadi Goregaon. The MMRDA renamed the station as Bangur Nagar on 10 April 2023 due to public demand.[9]

Power and signaling system[edit]

Like all other stations and railways of Mumbai metro, Bangur Nagar station also uses 25,000 volt AC power system by overhead catenary to operate the trains.
